Bred by Leon Robbins at Clemson University, released 1983. All American Selection winner, 1988. Noted for its flavor when raw. The most prevalent red variety.
2018 Trial Observations: 5.5′ red stemmed plants with red petioles and leaves that are red-purple with green blushing.
Red Pods. Smooth Pods with some Spines. Ridged to Slab-sided Pods with Elongated Pod Shape.
