Mississippi heirloom. Received by SSE from Bill Benoist of Coffeeville, MS. Bill’s Grandfather, W.E. “Buck” Benoist its a family okra since the 1880’s. A variety threatened by the devastation of Katrina.
2018 Trial Observations: 4.5′ green stemmed plants with minor red tinges. Pods produce close to the stem for easy harvest. Productive branching.
Green to Pale Green Pods. Smooth Pods. Ridged Pods with Chunky Pods Shape.
